I-94 Business Loop Lead Service Line Replacement Project Area

The City awarded the I-94 BL Lead Service Line Replacement Project to B and Z Company out of Benton Harbor. The original project location is along the I-94 Business Loop within the City limits and is in advance of planned Michigan Department of Transportation projects. The project is being completed in two phases, Area 1 & Area 2. Area 1 was completed first and is bound in the south by the City limits and in the north by Hoyt Street. Area 2 is from Hoyt Street and follows the I-94 Business Loop to Wayne Street. Area 2 includes Main Street, Port Street, and Ship Street. The project will also help the City meet the new regulatory requirements of the 2018 Lead and Copper Rule. A map of the areas included in this project can be found under "supporting documents". Additional project areas will be added into this project to maximize grant and low interest loan funds. Those locations will be notified prior to the work taking place. This notice can be found under "supporting documents".
