2022 Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) Project

The City awarded the contract for the 2022 Lead Service Line Replacement Project to Pajay, Inc from New Buffalo, MI. The 2022 Lead Service Line Replacement Project's original locations were in areas identified in the 2017 Asset Management Plan for future construction. These areas were targeted in an effort to reduce the coordination burden when the larger projects are underway. The project will also help the City meet the new regulatory requirements of the 2018 Lead and Copper Rule. The original locations for the 2022 LSLR Project were completed in the spring of 2023.

In order to maximize the use of grant and low interest loan dollars, additional areas were added to the contract. A map of those areas can be found below. Pajay plans to start on the added areas in April of 2024.

Representatives from Pajay will be contacting those included in the project to perform inspections and to schedule private side replacement work if any are found to be needed.
