St. Joseph Municipal Band

Thank you for a great 2025 summer season!
The Municipal Jazz Band will perform their final concert of the year, "A Jazzy Jolly Christmas," on Sunday, December 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph High School Auditorium. Admission is free to all members of the public.
The St. Joseph Municipal Band is one of only three tax-supported municipal bands in Michigan. A millage to support the band has been levied since voted in by the citizens of the City in 1936. Band concerts are free to all.
John E. N. Howard, was conductor of the Municipal Band beginning in 1948 through 1987; he also was the St. Joseph High School Band Director until he retired from that position in 1963. The Municipal Band was conducted by Dr. Donald Moely from 1987 until he retired at the end of the 2022 season.
Dr. Jonathan Korzun became Director of the Municipal Band with the 2023 season. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Korzun served as Director of Bands at Southwestern Michigan College, retiring from that position in 2019.
