Upcoming Concerts

The St. Joseph Municipal Band begins its 2025 season on Sunday June 29. Selections will include band classics and audience favorites.

The Municipal Band will present two concerts that serve as musical bookends for this season's 4th of July holiday weekend. Our annual concert on July 4th (Friday) is a celebration of the birth of our nation and honors all of our military veterans. This year's concert will also recognize the 80th anniversary of the pivotal World War II battle on the Pacific island of Iwo Jima. Our performance on Sunday July 6 continues the patriotic musical celebration with a variety of rousing selections.

Our July 13 concert will feature guest trumpet soloist William Camp.  Mr. Camp is originally from Niles MI and was a regular member of the Municipal Band for many years. He is a professional trumpet player performing throughout the Chicagoland area. Mr. Camp will also be performing a trumpet duet with Municipal Band member Charles Steck. Mr. Steck is the trumpet section leader for the Municipal Band and also serves as conductor of the LaPorte City Band in LaPorte IN.

The Municipal Band's annual Christmas in July Concert will take place on Sunday July 20. The program will be a sampling of concert band favorites usually reserved for a much more wintery time of year, audience-pleasing holiday selections enthusiastically performed by the St. Joseph Municipal Band. Come experience some musical relief from the summer heat.

Our concert on Sunday July 27 welcomes the Michiana Brass Quintet as guest artists. Known throughout the Michiana area, it is composed of current and past members of the St. Joseph Municipal Band.

Stay tuned for information about the Municipal Band's performances in August and on Labor Day. These will include a Summer Spooktacular with eerie selections in anticipation of the upcoming Halloween season.

All performances begin at 7:00pm and take place at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell, 550 Port Street, St. Joseph, MI 49127.  No tickets are required and admission is always free.
