Fraud Alert: The City of St. Joseph has been notified of several fraudulent invoices pretending to be from City departments requesting payment via wire transfer. This is a scam—do not respond. If you receive any questionable communications from the City requesting payment, please call City Hall at 269-983-5541 prior to sending money.


About

The Finance Department has five full-time staff including the Director and have three major areas of focus:

  1. Accounts payable;
  2. Treasury (property tax payment); and
  3. Water Billing.   

In addition, the department is responsible for creation of the annual budget and capital improvement plan; management of the city’s finances; responding to general inquiries; and garage sale permits.
