Public Notice of Parks & Recreation Master Plan Public Hearing
A Public Hearing has been set for January 12th, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m., before the St. Joseph City Commission, St. Joseph City Hall, Commission Chambers, City of St. Joseph, 700 Broad Street, St. Joseph, MI 49085 for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the draft 2025-2030 Parks and Recreation Master Plan before City Commission approval.
The plan is available for public review and comment through 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 online at www.sjcity.com, City Hall at 700 Broad Street, St. Joseph, or the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library at 500 Market Street, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
At such public hearing, any resident or taxpayer of the City of St. Joseph shall have the opportunity to appear and be heard. The Commission Chambers are handicap accessible.
The City of St. Joseph is preparing a five-year Parks and Recreation Master Plan, in accordance with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources requirements. When completed, the plan will serve as a guide for the development of Parks and Recreation facilities and programs over the next five (5) years.
