2025 Botham Avenue Reconstruction Project

October 3, 2025 Project Update
This is an update on the Botham Avenue Reconstruction Project as of the October 3, 2025 progress meeting. Hoffman Brothers, Inc. reported that underground utility work is substantially complete and road building is underway. Road building consists of undercutting and removal of the unsuitable materials in order to install the road sub-base (sand) and base (gravel) material to meet the required pavement section. Sub-base underdrain will also be installed during this time. Concrete work, including curb & gutter, driveway approaches, sidewalk and the non-motorized path will follow road base building. The road subbase and base will be installed from east to west; this has already commenced in order to maintain access to the Neon Grill.
Niles Avenue Southbound Lane Restriction and Northbound Closure
Hoffman Brothers expects to re-open Niles Avenue to two-way traffic near the end of the work day this Thursday, October 9th. Botham Avenue, east of Niles Avenue will also be re-opened to traffic.
Neon Grill Access
Access to the Neon Grill will move to Botham Avenue when Niles Avenue is re-opened to traffic. A single, gravel lane will be established to allow traffic to enter from the east, cycle through the normal drive-thru window, and exit via the alley to the north. The access off of Niles Avenue will be maintained for the sole purpose of keeping Neon Grill open throughout the construction. Thank you for following the new traffic pattern.
Hoffman Brothers is projecting the completion of the Botham Avenue Reconstruction Project by the end of October.
