Parking: downtown employees & business owners

Our 2026 Downtown Parking Program has limited paid parking to the spaces directly in front of downtown businesses. These spaces have a 3-hour maximum time limit. All other parking, both on the east and west sides of Main Street, is free. Click here to view a map of downtown parking options.

(Recommended) Parking in one of the 1,000 free spaces

Most parking spaces downtown are free—over 1,000 total. All City lots, both east and west of Main Street, are free. Please be aware of signage when parking—some lots are "All Day" and have no time restriction, but free on-street parking and certain parking lots have a 3-hour maximum time limit.

You don't. Most of the parking spaces downtown are free, and most workplaces have free parking within a block or two.

You can park free in ADA-designated spaces with the proper placard, sticker or license plate. Some ADA spaces do have a 3-hour time limit and will require you to move your car to a new space. ADA spaces are also available in nearby lots and, depending on availability, may be closer to your workplace than on-street ADA parking and without the 3-hour limit.
