November 7, 2023 City General Election Results
Unofficial returns of the City of St. Joseph General Election held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 are now available.
The results are as follows:
- Brook Thomas; 1,287 votes; 4-year term
- Tess Ulrey; 934 votes; 4-year term
- Michael Fernandez; 882 votes; 2-year term
- Chris Lannert; 823 votes
- David James Yardley; 555 votes
- Shawn R. Osburn; 519 votes
There were six candidates for three open seats on the City Commission. The two candidates who received the two greatest number of votes in the General Election receive four-year terms; the candidate who received the third-greatest number of votes receives a two-year term.
The new commission will take office at 7:30 pm, Monday, November 13, at which time the commission will select from its own the Mayor and Mayor pro tem to serve until the commission is seated following the November 2025 City General Election.
