FACILITIES AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE - WEST BASIN MARINA

Paid on the job training is provided.
Spring through fall, the position requires in excess of 40 hours, including evenings, weekends
and holidays. Summer is our busy season. In the winter months the average work week is 20-30
hours.
•
High school diploma or equivalent is required
•
A valid Michigan driver’s license is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•
Able to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend & kneel
•
Able to work above heights of 12 feet or more
•
Able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
•
Able to reach above and below the shoulders
•
Able to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull
•
Visual abilities including peripheral, close and distance vision
•
Comfortable with working around water
•
Willingness to work in external weather conditions, such as rain, cold, and heat
RESPONSIBILITIES, ESSENTIAL DUTIES, AND FUNCTIONS (TRAINING IS PROVIDED)
•
Daily cleaning and maintenance of Marina facilities, including docks, shower house, laundry room, fish-cleaning stations, and the grounds
•
Assist in winterizing and de-winterizing of boats, equipment, and facilities
•
Perform maintenance of seasonal slip rentals
•
Participate in the docking of transient boaters.
•
Participate in fueling and pump-out services.
•
