Hiring: Director of Special Projects and Communications
The City of St Joseph is seeking a Director of Special Projects and Communications to coordinate and implement special projects to improve efficiency, effectiveness, coordination, and accessibility of City services. Reporting to the City Manager, the successful candidate will lead project management and systems improvements, develop and evaluate policies, procedures and internal systems, drive internal and external communications and outreach efforts, manage the City’s social media presence, and track and evaluate outcomes.
This is a full-time salary exempt position with a wage range of $50,000-$65,000 (DOQ). In addition to a competitive salary, the City provides a generous benefits package that includes a defined benefit retirement plan.
A Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, public administration, marketing, communications, urban planning, statistics, sociology, political science, public policy, computer science or a related field or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. A valid Michigan driver’s license is required.
