The City of St. Joseph is seeking a Utility Billing Specialist to maintain the utility billing system and departmental records. Responsibilities include analyzing utility system data; preparing reports and correspondence; and providing front-line customer service, including knowledgeable responses to customer inquiries. This employee will work cooperatively with other departments and perform related work as required.

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. In addition to a competitive salary, the City offers a generous benefits package, including a defined benefit retirement plan.

Qualifications:
• Requires three years of accounting-related experience in an office environment.
• Governmental accounting experience is a plus.
• An associate degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is preferred but not required.

The starting hourly rate is $25.54.
