City Boat Launch
The City Boat Launch is located at 282 Anchor's Court, on Marina Island. There is a small daily per car/trailer parking fee for both residents and non-residents; residents and non-residents may purchase a season parking permit from the Marina. For current parking permit fees, click here.
September 25, 2013, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with the grand opening of the new fish cleaning station located at the City Boat Launch. New restrooms were also constructed and are handicap accessible. The station, at the city's boat launch along Anchor's Way on Marina Island, has a roof for all-weather use, stainless steel tables and water hoses, outlets for electric knives and other appliances, a grinder that emulsifies fish guts, and a scaler for perch and other catch. Employees at West Basin Marina will keep the station clean.
The cost for the project was estimated at $330,000 but was completed for $265,800, including $105,800 in city funds. The project was made possible by a $150,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Great Lakes Fishery Trust and a $10,000 donation from the local chapter of Michigan Steelheaders, which promotes salmon fishing.

City Boat Launch Pass
An exception to the 2018 system setup involves parking at the City Boat Lauch, where a sticker will continue to be required. Parking permits for the City Boat Launch are also available for sale at the West Basin Marina Office each year beginning March 1 for a small fee. These annual permits exempt you from daily parking gees at the City Boat Launch. To obtain an annual permit, simply visit the West Basin Marina Office. Parking passes must be permanently affixed to the lower corner of your vehicle's driver side window.
