Park Master Plans for Dickinson, Whirlpool Centennial, and Riverview Parks
The City of St. Joseph has begun the process of developing Park Master Plans for Dickinson, Whirlpool Centennial and Riverview Parks.
The Master Plan process will help guide the City in its development and management of these three (3) parks in the short term and well into the future.
The City has hired Landscape Architects and Planners (LAP Creative) based out of Lansing, Michigan to assist us with this project. LAP Creative has been working as a consultant for master plan projects for over 25 years and has extensive experience working with communities in Southwest Michigan, such as city of New Buffalo, village of Three Oaks, village of Sawyer as well as Chikaming Open Lands.
This is where the community gets involved as the City is seeking your input and involvement in developing these three (3) Master Plans:
Three (3) separate online surveys, for each park to gather input from the public, have been prepared. You do not have to be a city resident in order to complete the surveys. We welcome input from all who have used any of these three parks in the past or plan to in the future.
Citizens can access the survey through the following links:
Dickinson Park
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RDYF6MK
Riverview Park
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RY86M2X
Whirlpool Centennial
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RY9MWTN
You can complete one survey or all three. The online surveys will be available through Monday, June 19, 2017.
In addition to giving comment through a survey, please plan to attend the following community workshops in order to participate and provide input in person:
Community Workshop #1:
- Tuesday May 2nd 6:00pm to 8:00pm,
St. Joseph City Hall, 700 Broad Street, 2nd floor
Community Workshop #2:
- Wednesday May 31st, 6:00pm to 8:00pm,
St. Joseph City Hall, 700 Broad Street, 2nd floor
