Halloween Trick-or-Treat Events, October 29-31, 2021
Halloween trick or treat hours in the City of St. Joseph will be 6pm - 7:30pm on Halloween, Sunday, October 31, 2021.
In addition, there are two other opportunities for youngsters to trick or treat, leading up to Halloween!
St. Joseph Today and local businesses are sponsoring 2021 Halloween Downtown Trick or Treat from 4:30pm - 6pm on Friday, October 29, 2021, in downtown St. Joseph and in the Benton Harbor Arts District.
Join us for a little Halloween fun with our "Truck or Treat" event from 4pm - 6pm on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the John & Dede Howard Ice Arena, 2414 Willa Dr. Fire trucks, police cars and excavators! Come see the trucks that get the jobs done. Local businesses will let you explore the vehicles while you trick or treat from truck to truck.

New website lets tourists visit St. Joseph from the comfort of their couches

Mayor Michael Garey
Mike Garey was born in Benton Harbor in 1953, and moved to St. Joseph at the age of five. He is a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Mayor Garey was elected Mayor on November 5, 2013; as Mayor Pro tem in 2007; and to the City's five member Commission in 1999. He is a past president of St. Joseph/Benton Harbor Rotary Club and cites interests in baseball, golf and history.
He became the fourth generation in his family's business when he joined Garey Roofing in Benton Harbor in 1976. That same year, he graduated from Central Michigan University and married his wife, Elizabeth. The couple have three children.
Garey wants to keep St. Joseph moving forward in his work as commissioner. "Progress has been tremendous in the past few years," said Garey. "I want to help keep the momentum going. I'd like to see our city be a place where our kids want to come back to work and live."
"I've always enjoyed living in this community. I feel if people have enjoyed living in a place they should give back to the community. This is my way of giving back."
