General Information
City Manager John Hodgson first worked for the City as a summer employee in 1985-1988, as a full time employee in 1989-90, and following a few years in federal service has served the city continuously since 1994 in a number of roles including Administrative Assistant, Community Development Director, Assistant City Manager, and interim City Manager; he was appointed to serve as City Manager in July 2015.
He also represents the city on the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Employees' Retirement System Board, Hospital Finance Authority, Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant Board, Recreational Harbor Authority, St. Joseph Today Board, and Water Services Joint Operating Board.
