The Water Division is responsible for providing municipal water to homes, businesses, and industries within the City of St. Joseph, as well as, Lincoln Charter Township, Royalton Township, St. Joseph Charter Township, Village of Shoreham, and Village of Stevensville. The Water Division includes the St. Joseph Water Filtration Plant, the Water Service Department, the Water Department Customer Service Office and the Sewer Department.

The Water Service Department connects and renews water service, monitors water consumption, installs water meters, repairs and installs water mains, and repairs and installs fire hydrants. The Sewer Department connects wastewater disposal service; installs, maintains and replaces sewer mains; maintains sewer leads; and cleans and inspects municipal sewers.

The Water Department Customer Service Office is responsible for water service applications, meter applications, customer billing and payment processing. The office is located within the Finance Department and is open daily, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. For more information about the Customer Service Office see Utility Billing or for detailed information about your bill see How to Read Your Water Bill.

The City's 2007 Water Quality Report is provided for your information. The purpose of the report is to provide information on the quality of drinking water produced at the Water Treatment Plant during the 2006 calendar year. Questions regarding the report can be directed to either City Engineer Tim Zebell or Water Plant Superintendent Mike O'Malley.
